Lorena Rizzo who obtained her PhD in African History from the University of Basel, has been a BAB collaborator and author since the late 1990s. She is a senior lecturer and research associate of the Centre of African Studies (ZASB), with special interests in visual and gender histories in Namibian and Southern African Studies. Amongst other things, the BAB Publishing House published her monograph ‘Gender and Colonialism. A history of Kaoko (North-Western Namibia), 1870s – 1950s’ (2009) and various titles co-edited by her.
