Anti-Apartheid Bewegung

by Celine Graber

The ‘Anti-Apartheid Bewegung’ (Anti-Apartheid movement (AAB)) in German-speaking Switzerland was founded in 1975 and existed until 1994. Being an information, protest and solidarity movement, it organised many national (boycott) campaigns against the South African apartheid politics. Whilst its main archives are housed at the ‘Sozialarchiv’ in Zurich, some of its press, campaign and audio-visual materials are kept at the BAB.
