The Inner Eye: Namibian Poetry in Process contains poems by sixteen student writers. The text originated in a series of twelve creative writing workshops conducted at the University of Namibia and at the Windhoek College of Education during 1996 and 1997. The poems have been published as part of a process of creating a Namibian writing culture.

Dorian Haarhoff is a published poet, Creative Writing teacher and a professor of English Literature at the University of Namibia. His poetry collections include Bordering and Aquifers and Dust. He has also written a teaching text, Writing the myths that make me: A Creative Workshop text for Southern Africa.
