Lunch Talk: Quantum Ghost: Jouneying Through the Echoes of Colonialism

October 7 @ 12:15 - 14:15

The presentation by Libita Sibungu is part of the Namibian and Southern African Studies Research Colloquium by the Basler Afrika Bibliographien, the Centre for African Studies, University of Basel, and the University of Namibia.

Libita Sibungu (b.1987, Cornwall, UK) is a multidisciplinary artist, drawing on her British-Cornish-Namibian heritage to make discursive works which explore — entangled personal histories, and colonial legacies inscribed in the body and land.

Libita will share some of the processes of thought and making in her ongoing body of work ‘Quantum Ghost’ which was initially presented as a solo exhibition with Gasworks, London and Spike Island, Bristol, UK in (2019).
