by Celine Graber

The German teacher, secretary and journalist Hulda Rautenberg who lived in Namibia during the 1930s and early 1960s, kept a wide-ranging correspondence with the German settler population in Namibia, partly related to her research and book on the history of the coastal town of Swakopmund (‘Das alte Swakopmund’, 1967).
