Namibische National Bibliographie/Namibia National Bibliography (NNB)
The ‘Namibian National Bibliography (NNB’, published by the BAB for the years 1971–1979, was a collaborative bibliography, library and publishing project of Eckard Strohmeyer und Carl Schlettwein. In the absence of a comprehensive bibliography on the then South African colony, the volumes were regarded as ‘a real breakthrough in Namibian bibliography’ and formed an early attempt to decolonise knowledge independently from colonial institutions. It rooted the BAB firmly in the international landscape of knowledge production and research and led to the very comprehensive establishment of the Namibia library in Basel.
