Akawa, Martha

Martha Akawa, a Namibian historian and BAB author, is Head of the Department of Geography, History, Environmental Studies and Tourism Management at the University of Namibia (UNAM). In 2014 she published the monograph ‘The Gender Politics of the Namibian Liberation Struggle’ in the Basel Namibia Studies Series.
