The Swiss historian René Lenzin analyses the Swiss ex-pat community in Ghana before and after the country’s independence in the late 1950s. With over 600 Swiss nationals, men and women, working in Ghana around 1960, this was one of the largest Swiss communities in Africa, besides South Africa and Egypt.
