Anette Hoffmann, a German anthropologist and historian specialising in acoustic studies, edited the book ‘What We See. Reconsidering an Anthropometrical Collection from Southern Africa. Images, Sound and Versioning’ (2009), published by the BAB Publishing House. The book accompanied the exhibition ‘What We See’ which was on display in Cape Town, Basel, Vienna, Berlin and Windhoek, with support of the Carl Schlettwein Foundation.
