Emmett, Tony

Tony (Anthony) Emmett (1948-2013) was a South African historian whose research into Namibian history and politics in the 20th century remains influential. The BAB published his outstanding monograph ‘Popular Resistance and the Roots of Nationalism in Namibia, 1915-1966′ and his research collection, including interviews and copies from nationalists’ private collections, entered the BAB Archives.
