The Library of the Basler Afrika Bibliographien
The library is divided into two sections:
- the General Library with books published after 1919, journals, newspapers and grey literature from and about Namibia and southern Africa;
- the Rare-Book Collection, with old, rare and bibliophile works relating to the entire African continent.
The library is a reference library with the option of weekend and holiday loans. The library staff will be happy to provide assistance and advice while you undertake research with the holdings.
The library catalogue is also accessible via the internet: just click on library catalogue.
Having found material you would like to consult, you can fill out a copy of our ordering ticket and bring it with you when you visit the library.
